Shukri Wrights was born on October 5th, 1991 in New York, NY. Wrights' dream of becoming a full-time sports radio host and media personality began with listening to the news during weekday mornings on the radio with his parents before heading to school. Wrights fell in love with sports at a young age, which would later fuel his passion for sports talk radio beginning at age 13.

Wrights began his journey as a sports radio broadcaster after making the life altering decision to relocate to Boston, MA on February 15th, 2017. After overcoming many trials and difficulties, Wrights would go on to launch his own sports talk radio show on 91.5 FM WMFO on July 6th, 2019.

 

When the COVID-19 pandemic began and the world began to shutdown, Wrights launched his own podcast called "The Shukri Wrights Podcast". The podcast became home of some terrific podcast interviews with some of the biggest names in sports media. The podcast is available from your listening pleasure on iHeartRadio, Audacy, and all major platforms. It is also available to watch on his YouTube channel (Shukri Wrights).

 

 Wrights would also go on to join 100.1 FM WBRS in September 2020 hosting "Know Your Wrights" show. In January 2021, "The Shu" with Shukri Wrights launched on Pacifica Radio Network in which has over 200 radio affiliates.
